What the seal proves
Three checks. Every business passes all three.
Active UK Limited company
The company is registered in the UK and hasn't been dissolved, struck off, or entered insolvency proceedings.
All directors are UK residents
Every director on file at Companies House is tax-resident in the UK. Residency, not nationality — a first-generation UK resident qualifies exactly the same.
Company still exists today
We re-check the register automatically. If the company is dissolved after you're verified, the seal revokes same-day.

Quick answers.
Does the seal make my site load slower?
No. The widget is under 3KB, loads asynchronously, and doesn't block rendering. It doesn't touch your DOM outside its own container.
What if I'm not incorporated as a Ltd?
VerifiedUK is for UK Limited companies only. Sole traders, partnerships, and LLPs aren't currently supported. This is what we can defensibly verify against public data.
What if a foreign investor owns part of the business?
The seal certifies that every director is UK-resident. Ownership by non-UK investors doesn't disqualify you. Director residency is the criteria.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel via the Stripe customer portal, no questions asked. The seal keeps working until the end of your current billing period, then revokes automatically.
What happens if my company status changes?
The register is re-checked automatically. If your company is dissolved, struck off, or enters insolvency, the seal revokes same-day. Same happens if a director becomes non-UK resident.
Can I put the seal on more than one site?
The seal is priced per site. Each site needs its own subscription and cert number. This keeps the verification tied to a specific domain.
